The project transformed a dilapidated 3 level house and gardens on an extremely steep & dangerous site into a fully renovated holiday house with multiple entertaining areas, new gardens and a spectacular sequence of stairs to the entry.
The original stairs and paths of sandstone flagging were reused in the gabion retaining walls rather than removing them from the site. The result was not only economical compared to new masonry walls but created a more natural feel and blended beautifully with the tropical landscaping.
The original residence was reclad in metal, fibre cement, sandstone and timber along with new interiors suitable for hosting large groups & families.
